Individuals are being sought for the 2010 PRSM Association Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee encourages PRSM Association leaders and others in the profession to identify individuals in order to build a pool of exceptional leaders from which it selects individuals for the board.

The Nominating Committee is committed to ensuring that the Board reflects a mix of the industry and that directors' expertise and views align with PRSM strategy.

To this end, the committee is looking for individuals with impeccable credentials from leading companies and organizations and who have depth of industry knowledge and expertise in their respective field of management.

Nominations are due no later than Monday, February 1, 2010. Candidates may self-nominate or be nominated by colleagues provided his/her name is submitted on the official nomination form.

The Nominating Committee considers a balance of a broad range of viewpoints and experiences on the Board of Directors. Screening is based on the charter, duties, and qualifications listed in the position descriptions in this document; the specific experience and expertise needed for the upcoming term; and such additional competency areas as:

• Credibility as thought leader in retail facilities maintenance
• Character and positive industry reputation
• Considerable business acumen
• Commitment from employer for time and industry involvement
• Ability to identify merging issues and express implications for the membership and PRSM
• Leadership and communication skills
