What is a Retail FM?

A retail facility manager is the manager of retail, multi-site facilities.  It is the role of a facility manager to ensure proper operation of all essential retail units.  These services can include: power, emergency power systems, environmental conditions, building monitoring systems, life and safety systems and preventative maintenance. Building services, energy management, supplier management and construction can also full under the responsibility of the facilities department.

This profession is very important to the retail industry.  Facility managers keep the retail outlets safe and running smoothly to provide the shopper with a pleasant shopping experience.
